From what I've seen, the Tegra 3 in the Ouya should play everything 1080p in KODI. Probably not 4K or 10 bit H.265 stuff but everyday formats should be fine. If you're wanting a cheap box for KODI that has root from the factory that can use 3rd party controllers easily, try the Mini M8S II TV box. It's nice. Can pick em up for around $40 and can play every video format you can throw at it.

It's an absolute steal.

buy it mate, its a steal already, unless you really need that $10 for important stuff. I bought mine for about $50 last week which is pretty good deal for instead of buying a new one which is like $200 now. ill probably going to use it as an emulation machine and movie streaming. easy to root plus there is side loading too. cant wait to try ppsspp once i get my freetime

No remote control, no latest version of Kodi, and having to buy a powered USB hub is a big disadvantage it seems with the Ouya. I suppose if you can get over all of that and use it as an emulator machine, it wouldn't be so bad.

I use 16.2 - it has been great for a long while.

I use 16.1. It's the best I've found for KissAnime (I watch a lot of Naruto Shippuden) and for several others. Also it has better repo management than 17.
