If you going to do : Vigilante: 2nd Offense , make sure that you that with friend/s .
Playing this solo is fun , but playing it with couple of friends is SUPER fun , especially in "winner stays on controller" mode ( player vs player , winner of match stays , looser gives controller to next player and so in circles ) . :D

despite not being a fan of the series, i voted for gran turismo. it just can't be ignored, no matter what you think of it.

why? because it was a turning point in the history of videogaming imho.

it's arguably the very first videogame ever in which the graphics were so extraordinarily good (for the criteria of the time of course)

the level of graphic definition was astoundin, exceeding and by far anything done before then.

from my own perspective, it was also the beginning of the decline of videogaming: it's when the industry started to think that going after flashy and realistic graphics was more important than playability.

gran turismo was never as good as colin mcrae rally or toca. but it sold as much, if not more.

I would agree. The controls for GT always seemed a bit sloppy to me, but it did make people stand up and take notice of how good video game graphics could be and was extraordinary at the time.

Twisted Metal 1 and 2 would be fun with friends, seeing as Vigilante 8 is on your list! :D
