I can't agree enough with those suggestions.
I have been disappointed in every NFS game since Underground 2.

I can think of a couple, Diablo and C&C Red Alert. Diablo 1 was atmospheric as hell, but very... "moderately" paced. Diablo 2 played fast and free and is the internet's favorite son, but undercut the soul-crushing tone the first game had. And Diablo 3? Complete dumpster fire, disappointed that I wasted $80 on the whole thing.
I didn't play the RA series as much as Diablo, but that one just felt less inspired with each entry, until it just went insane with the third in hopes that zaniness could save dull gameplay. First game is still fun for quick bursts, though.

We call that the "EA Effect". The first RA was from a time when Westwood was more or less still a Independent Studio, RA2 was already from a time when the Studio was EA owned and by the time RA3 came along Westwood was already rotting away in a dumpster filled with other former EA owned Devs.

MGS V (would say PW too). I didn't felt the necessity for them (I wished they just cancelled the game before it's announcement), plus it didn't have the Codec. I liked calling the team and see their interactions and learn something more along the way. Beside the story, the abscence of Codec (or Radio) is something that killed it for me. ): The gameplay is fine, but MGS games was more about the story and characters for me.

ps.: MGS portable ops, if you count that as a sequel...

Max Payne simply legendary.

Max Payne 2 while not horrible, some even say pretty good, it fell considerably short of the original.

Honorable mention: Max Payne 3 for PS3. It was not 5 stars like the original it was still a damn good updated version. Took forever to finally be released and some parts of the game were (almost) too difficult.

edit*-Who could forget in MP the nightmare level with the blood trail maze with the murdered wife and baby screaming in the background the whole time? It took me a long time to finally finish that level and THEN realized I could have turned the sound down.
Gotta love Rockstar.

Loved Max Payne 2 probably just as much as Max Payne 1, but Max Payne 3 was a shitty game. The game's flow is constantly interrupted by incredibly annoying cutscenes. It has no replay value for me because these cutscenes are everywhere & a real hassle when playing the game.

Instead of a new game, I want an HD remake of Dynasty Warriors 3.

The first one was the wrestling game & the second one was the fighting game, right? If so, I agree. The wrestling game was great.
