Arcade Games You Beat IN an Actual Arcade

Postby Mute » Sun May 27, 2018 10:13 pm

I beat 2 games in the actual arcade's.. The First one was Chase H.Q... I was determined to win...I started off in the sitdown version, then they took it out and i was forced to finish it on the standup version..but i will always remember the good time i had...

2nd was MK3.. i didn't know the moves at the time, but kept trying and trying and then a whole lotta money later and i finally beat mk3 in the arcade...( i should own that machine)

So what game/games did you beat in the Arcades

I feel like some people would rather "socially network" and potentially get the wrong answer slowly, rather than just use google and get the right answer immediately.

How about games that you stood around and watched another person beat because you were poor.

- Spy Hunter, same

With exception of Point Blank 2,when I used two coins, all of the rest was with only one coin because the difficulty of every was on Level 4(lame!)

Metal Slug 1 and 2. I played with a friend. I remember when we played MS2 in the end I took his last coin, then he died and 10 seconds later I killed the final boss and he wasn't in the game and was pissed.

One of the first I finished with 1 credit was Midnight Resistance. Power up with the fire shot quickly, and you can't really go wrong. The slowdown in some sections made it even easier.

Side Arms and Forgotten Worlds were another couple, and the old faithful Double Dragon. We ploughed enough 10 pees into that cabinet when it first appeared.

I was also pretty good at Hyper Sports, I could clear that 5 or 6 times, I think it didn't get harder after about 3 sheets, so should have gone on forever, technically, but the Pole Vault was one that you either nailed every time, or on a bad day, you might not get over the opening height.

I dont remember lots of easy arcades i have finished , only hard ones like 1943 , that game was so hard to pass that local arcade offered prises to ones that beat game , it was only passed 2 times while arcade was there , first pass was by local twin brothers , second time was passed by me alone ( one player did play with me but died at last level , so i finished alone , and i decide to be asshole and keep prise for my self , since i also payed for coins for me and him ) .
Prise was Walkman ( year was 1991 or something ) .

I beat a handful back in the day, but the ones that are most memorable are Golden Axe and Simpsons Arcade just because of how much fun they were to beat playing co-op.
