What do you want on it? Please be specific, because this will determine how large a drive will be needed.

Sometime you have to flash a new bios to allow bigger sizes, and the type of drive. if you dont have a Sata drive already, you would need IDE to SATA adapter, 80-pin Ribbon cable to even boot up.

not just as easy as dropping in a new drive, unless you already have that stuff :).

but good luck, you wont regret it.

I agree. $50 Canadian may not be enough, depending on the drive size, and if he has an 80-pin IDE cable + SATA to IDE adapter.

Do you have an 80-pin IDE cable and SATA to IDE adapter? If you do, it will not only keep costs down for you, but then you can just drop in whatever SATA drive into your Xbox, assuming you have a BIOS on your Xecuter 2 chip that supports larger drives. If not, I would definitely suggest you get those items.

I do not have those things, and I'm not sure because I bought the xbox with a whole bunch of games for $50; how do I check?
