Controller port fuse problem in other consoles

Postby MonkeyBoyBlitz » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:11 am

The Dreamcast is pretty infamous for its controller port fuse which is prone to blowing if a controller is inserted or removed while the console's power is on. That makes the port unusable until the fuse is replaced.

Are there any other consoles that have this issue?

The PS1 does, there are at least two fuses one is for Rumble and special devices only, the other is for the buttons.

Some cheap 3rd party controllers love to blow the rumble fuse, and people wonder why there is no rumble on their system anymore. :)
