disc based games

Ok, so i have a small selection of physical games (the actual retail discs btw) that i want to burn to my xbox after i softmod it. is there an option to do so? if so, do i still need the physical discs to play the games once theyre burned onto the system?

Your gonna want a bigger hard drive unless your gonna convert then burn them.

i am gonna update the hdd once i get the rest of the stuff i need for the softmod.

I use DVD2Xbox. I did have a few games not work w/ DVD2Xbox for some reason, so I either ftp'd them or used another program (can't remember the name of it, but I know I dl'd it from here).

Oh and unless it's i 1.6 remove the clock cap while you are in there.

I use dvd2xbox, its an app and you'll probably have an option to install it when you do your softmod, for the softmod use Rocky5's softmod as its the best out there in my opinion and will give you some apps and stuff to install during the process. There are also some downloads here on TIZ to create discs with apps/emulators on that will load to your XBox without the need for any other apps installed to the XBox.

NULL your eeprom HDD key with my softmod and never worry again.

Applications > NKPatcher Settings > EEPROM > Advanced Features > Hard Drive > NULL Key

I could force this when you use my softmod but I would rather the end user makes the choice than me.

Use DVD2Xbox as others have suggested.

The best reason for using it rather than anything else it will patch those games that need it to allow them to play when installed to the HDD. The TiZ download I linked too ^ has most (all?) of the ACL (Access Control List) patch files included and will automatically apply them during the ripping process.

Once you've installed the games, unlike the XB360, you don't need the actual discs again. You can keep those safe as 'backup' and launch the games from your modded dash's Game menu direct from the HDD.
