Xbox partition question

Postby 607jf » Tue Dec 12, 2017 12:11 am

So I was wondering how do I tell a real partition partition from a virtual partition? I'd also like to know how it works as my main dash is xdk launcher and the bios loader uses a virtual F partition. Right now my F partition is disabled and my virtual F is enabled.

What? I don't even know you could have a virtual partition and why on the Xbox. Usually its to simulate a actual partition. Why the need? You would have a detailed properties on a PC to tell if virtual.

There is no virtual F partition, so I don’t get how you have one.

The xdk launcher is loaded via a debug bios, no bios that I know of supports virtual partitions. Only softmods do and they are by default Virtual C ( shadowc )

Also requires an img file on the hdd.

Huh thats strange cause if i add a folder/file the softmodded bios won't see it. also both can be like 140GB wich isn't right.

Oh so the xbox mounts the image file. that is pretty smart.
