Hardware mods

Postby blober54 » Thu Jan 18, 2018 12:57 am

ok... I'm back into the xbox scene after being out of it for years... been messing with 360's and others since. But I want to get back into doing some actual hardware mods again, like ram upgrades, hdmi output? led's, case windows... etc.

Anyone else tinkering around with mods?

Did xbox software mods and testing for myself and friends for quite awhile. never really went into hardware mods
i quit after blowing up a 500gb ide harddrive forcing me to put a 320GB in my personal xbox

might do software updates on this and my other 160gb one.

now that i think about it. the 320GB xbox did give a me a few error screens and freezed 2 times when i used it last. might be a good idea to open it up and see if everything is fine.

Spoiler:
Hope it ain't one of the capacitors (again)

I've swapped out cooling fans on both my Xbox and 360 for some Corsair silent fans and replaced the heat sink in my 360, but I've always been too scared to do any more than that.

Not being rude... but why did it take you 2 years to learn how to upgrade the hdd? Theirs lots of videos and the longest one i've seen was like 24minutes and walks you through it, the memory upgrade takes a flashed bios to run... and some good surface mount soldering skills
