I use or have used both versions and I think probably one or the other of those downloads is what I have installed on most of of my Xboxes.
If it is installed on E:\ as you've indicated it is check your free space.
Avalaunch is very particular about that, you need around 900MB and I treat that as meaning 1GB. It may put up a warning about low HDD disc space during boot saying it can and will cause problems. It does.

Also if you have a large number of icons for games, emulators, apps etc displayed by Avalaunch there is some upper unspecified total size limit. When that is reached it will stuff up the main menus and/or freeze the dash.
UnleashX also has a similar problem, again rarely mentioned, but not as acutely. That's why keeping icon file sizes down to a minimum is a good idea so that you don't exceed that total file size limit.
My guess is that this is a cache size issue but I may be wrong.
