Dash Issues Original Xbox

Postby cruzer » Wed Jan 11, 2017 2:04 am

1st xbox - successful softmod
2nd xbox - have a problem

I swore it was on dash 5960 but i was wrong
Tried to install unleased x
I got an error stating no dash found

I then clicked evolutionx and got the same error with no dash found
Thought i bricked it

Found a video and followed
I downloaded rescue disc to ISO and put on dvd, to get dash 5960
Boot console and i am on evolutionX V+3935
i clik M$ dashboard and it's a black screen

Where do i go from here?

assuming you have a dash backup
restore the original dash and reinstall unleash x using the correct modification kernel.

Get Rocky5's 2016 Softmodding Tool Extras Disk. You should be able to repair your xbox with it.

Go to this forum thread and check Rocky5's signature for link.

Ended up deleting everything on C via FTP

Interesting thing is i could never do "basic install" due to non dash 5960 error
Now that i'm back on stock dash, it's 5960, so i don't know what the issue was

So you have recovered back to stock dashboard?

I'd use the 2016 Softmodding Tool Rocky5 made. Copy the game save and softmod files to the USB thumbdrive then to the xbox HDD. Check the video in the forum thread.
