i tried one with family dollar batteries

and they keep losing sync...

would get different battery's matter?

let me know.

Yes it would work better if you got some good batteries. Family dollar batteries die way to fast and are weaker than lets say Energizer

Dont really think that sync would matter on what batteries you use.
I used dollar store batteries, they work Ok, just don't last long.
Like tamsman said, try some better ones

Those no-name controllers are terrible, not much better than the infra red controllers from the 80s & 90s. The only decent ones are by 8BitDo.

If you can, go this route. I have the NES30 and SFC30 controllers and I use them on my SNES & SNES Classic consoles.

i finally got my nes classic to set up to play anything. i did not open up my other controller so i'm going return that in a couple of days to get some cash and on of those 8bitdo snes controllers.
