EZ Flash IV vs EverDrive GBA X5?

EZ Flash IV vs EverDrive GBA X5?

Postby ClassicGamer90 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 3:57 am

I own a few EverDrives so I'm familiar with their high quality, but this time around money is going to be tight. I can afford the EverDrive if there is a huge difference, but if the EZ Flash IV is sufficient enough I'd rather get that and save $50.

I don't mind having to patch the roms for the EZ Flash considering the difference in price, but what are the cons with the EZ Flash besides patching?

I guess basically what I'm asking is there a enough of a justifiable difference between the two to spend the extra $50?

For the price, ez flash all day imo. I see them on ebay for like $35 now and thats a steal

Transferring, patching and updating fw is kind of a pain with the trash old ezflash software but i only needed to do it once then it was good to go. Plus the ez flash sits flush in a gba similar to a real cart where as the everdrive sticks out

Basically the everdrive isnt chinese af. It loads faster, has better support, better build quality, cleaner menu but that isnt worth the extra cost imo

I used to have an EZ and it worked with everything I threw at it, even the Mother 3 translation.

Thanks guys I decided on the EZ Flash IV, I didn't want to wait for it to ship from China and take the risk on it being an older version or something be wrong with it and have a headache returning it so I ordered the one below, it looks to me like its just rebranded. Can anyone tell if this is a legit EZ Flash IV?
