I reviewed Sega's first attempt at a Zelda clone: Golvellius

I reviewed Sega's first attempt at a Zelda clone: Golvellius

Postby St1ka » Thu Nov 23, 2017 9:03 pm

Hi everyone,

This week I reviewed Golvellius: Valley of Doom for the Sega Master System. Launched in 1988, this was Sega's first attempt at creating a Legend of Zelda Clone.

Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy the video:

Lol, great review my friend! I learned a lot about this game. I had a master system back in the day, this one passed me by. I had Rastan and Lord of the sword! Ah happy times. :) :)

Lol love that game and was shocked to learn there is a sequel too. Nice review.

I wonder if it's difficult to collect for the MSX...

*Glares. Seriously, you know that is old crappy msx emulator that hasn't been updated in a long time. Was going to use

http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/pla ... r-for-psp/

Or fmsx which it is based off of.

And I did use blue, didn't for long.

Great review as always, I preferred the PSG audio, it's a bit more chip-tune which works for me, I have a stack of bibles somewhere, added together they still don't meet the price of this game.

You'll have to fork out about £35-£40 for golvellius and about £70-£80 for golden axe warrior if you want them boxed with the instuction manual.
Prices are going up on SMS games, same as all retro systems.

Yeah, it's going crazy, i want power strike II, which is the best shooter on the system IMO, but you'll have to drop over £200 to pick that game up.
I should have got it years ago when it was more wallet friendly lol.
Seeing as we're talking about the SMS have you checked out the price of a controller for the system on ebay, they fetch £15-£20, mad, i'm a sega boy through and through but the SMS controller is crap.
