I reviewed Star Trek Deep Space 9 for the Sega Genesis

Postby St1ka » Thu Nov 16, 2017 8:57 pm

Hi everyone,

This week, at the request of a viewer, I reviewed Star Trek Deep Space Nine for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. The game was launched late into the console's life cycle, so it was largely ignored. While I agree it's not a lost 16-bit gem, it was a pretty decent game imo.

Great review St1ka, this game actually looks pretty epic for back in the day. I'm unfamiliar with this one and not a Star Trek fan, but the variation of the gameplay, the Flashback feel, and I even think the art style is great.... this one looks really good. That saving feature is a bummer, sucks that programmers would think that's a good idea to punish the player like that.

Also, really like your video opening, the 16-bit bedroom or whatever. Did you make that? keep up the great vids :)

Great review as always, I played this last month and thought it was awful, even with savestate (Wii) it was pretty bad and I was a huge trekker until ST:Discovery came out.

Oh I didn't make that animation nor the intro. Wayne did. You can find a link to his Twitter on the video's description in case you want to comission something ^^
