What a C64 looks like with a LumaFix64 looks like.

What a C64 looks like with a LumaFix64 looks like.

Postby MasterOfAll » Mon Sep 25, 2017 1:00 pm

Well, a special cable I needed for my capture device arrived today, so now I can grab pictures/video from my C64.

A LumaFix64 basically cleans up the picture a lot, and even more so when used with a good composite / S-Video (S-VHS) cable. Do a quick search on the LumaFix64 if you want to know more about it.

My set up is a C64C, with a LumaFix64, a good quality S-Video cable, getting captured by an Elgato Game Capture HD. I normally use a LCD monitor/TV in one thing for my retro computers.

This is what I get to look at on my screen. Hand on heart, this isn't an emulator screen grab.

Spoiler:

I highly recommend anyone with a C64 to get a LumaFix64, and take a little time to fit it, and set it correctly.

Nice and clear picture! It makes me want to get out my old C64 and 128's and blow the dust off of them so to speak. I've got to clear out and make room in my room first, so to speak. :D
