E2OPL read and install issues.

Postby Aleph » Wed Sep 13, 2017 3:01 am

I have recently acquired of a FMCB 1.953 memory card and want to play some great ps2 games off of a USB hard drive (Ethernet isn't a viable option due to me moving around a lot and needing to take my games with me but leave the computers). The only problem is, FAT32 only lets files reach a certain size before it quits. After doing some research, I found that there is a version of OPL that reads EXT2 partition drives (no file size limit). Only problem is, I cant seem to get it to install, let alone read my EXT2 drive. I cant do ISO splitting because I'm using Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, if that info helps in any way) and would like to keep the iso files intact as I will be adding and removing games as I finish them. Ive tried to install the program from what I've watched on Youtube, but failed miserably.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG. Please help. Thanks in advance.

There will be times when I don't even have access to a computer for the games, and I would like to do it through usb.

Sorry, thought you were talking about ethernet, read it fast in class. I'm using a slim ps2, so my only option is usb or ethernet.
