PS Vita Modding

Postby Kredible » Wed Dec 06, 2017 5:55 pm

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased a PS Vita 1st Gen with the system running firmware around 3.5, and I am trying to find a way of getting it modded.

As there are a few sites showing different ways of doing it, I am hoping that someone would be able to show me how to do so properly, without bricking the Vita. I know it can play backups of PSP games and possibly PS1/PS2 games as well.

Also, after looking online, I was able to find a site that had Vita ISO files, but as I'm not sure how to properly upload them onto the Vita, any help having it modded with Henkaku and being able to put Vita ISO files on it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Update your Vita to 3.60 first using this guide - http://wololo.net/2016/08/09/manually-u ... ware-3-60/
Install Henkaku - https://henkaku.xyz/
Install enso Henkaku - https://enso.henkaku.xyz/ (optional, but allows your Vita to boot into Henkaku mode)
I'd also install VitaShell before enso Henkaku, it'll allow you to install most homebrew and games -

I have been able to get the firmware to 3.60 and downloaded Henkaku but now there's an error message when I try to get Vitashell installed.

Cannot download using this system C2-13242-2

Any ideas of how to download this onto my Vita? Should I upload it through my laptop in steady?

is yours a OLED or slim vita? do you have a memory card? as vitashell vpk will need to install somewhere, have you just install Henkaku or ENSO"?

I have an OLED Vita, with a 4 GB card installed.

So far I have just installed Henkaku, not ENSO yet. I was following the directions above that said to install Vitashell first, then ENSO.

Henkaku is running in the background but no, ENSO doesn't load up either.

The same error screen shows up.

Cannot download this system.

so you have 3.60 FW and running henkaku from the browser link? have you tried forcing a reinstall of it with R1 ? to ensure its all good, then go into molecule and settings I think and enable unsafe homebrew or whatever, and download the vpk for enso, and ftp into the vita and copy across and install that way? if you have molecule running then should at least tell you henkaku is working ok
