2ds Transfer

2ds Transfer

Postby ryder4life » Tue Apr 17, 2018 2:25 am

Ok so first 2ds I bought I used a R4 with bootstrap on it to mod it but it was firmware 11.5. So I acquired another 2ds but this one shipped on firmware 11.6 says I have to buy a game then do a system transfer. Sure that's fine and dandy but says I can only transfer a NNID once per week. So when I do the intial transfer what happens to the host 2ds does the profile get deleted. I don't play online on the modded one. Just looking for clarificatiom

This is what 3ds guide says for the 2ds xl that folds.

Required Reading
There are three different methods of installing boot9strap using DSiWare on 11.6.0.

The first method, Seedminer, requires a PC with a powerful graphics card. There is an online helping service for Seedminer if you do not have access to such a PC. The two other methods require a system transfer from a hacked 3DS.

The latter two methods require two devices. One 3DS (or 2DS) must be running boot9strap and is referred to as the source 3DS, while the other 3DS (or 2DS) is on stock 11.6.0 and referred to as the target 3DS.

Both of these methods will assume that the 3DS running custom firmware is using boot9strap and has completed this guide. While it is possible to do these methods with some other kind of custom firmware, that is out of the scope of this guide.

Why not? Mine came with 11.6 firmware and I was still able to hack it using that all versions method. Keyword "All versions".

I believe all 2ds work with r4. Don't remember any hacking involved just put the games on your micro sd card, plug into r4, plug into ds. Easy for a change =)
