Extracting and burning multiple iso files

Extracting and burning multiple iso files

Postby Lordbeerus047 » Mon Jun 18, 2018 5:16 pm

I've downloaded a game which has three iso files and extracted the iso from rar files and extracted even further, the folder which can be transferred through FTP to my Xbox one... Now here is my question, instead of FTP'ing it, can i burn that to dvd-dl ???does the disc work on my Xbox one???

Which game did you download?

Xbox vs Xbox One
Refer to the original Xbox as either the original Xbox, Xbox1 or ogXbox not Xbox one.

Xbox one is the latest MS Xbox console. Refer to it as Xbox One, Xbox One S, XBox One X - XBOX :D MS is crazy naming it this :(

See the confusion. Horrible naming on Microsoft's part that they used for their latest console. Makes finding information via a google search such a pain to find, use:

    xbox -360 -one <search term>
Helps a bit!

Extraction of ISO or FTPable File Set for Xbox1
If you download multi-part archives:

7-zip archive
<game>.7z.001
<game>.7z.002
<game>.7z.003
etc

open the first file with 7Z to extract the content - be it a single ISO file or FTPable file set. 7-zip extracts the content from all the parts combining the pieces as necessary spread across the multi-part archive.

RAR Archive
<game>.rar
<game>.r01
<game>.r02
etc, or

<game>.part001.rar
<game>.part002.rar
<game>.part003.rar
etc.

Open the first <game>.rar or <game>.part001.rar file to have WinRAR extract the files found inside the multi-part archive.

You do not open each file just the first to extract the contents.
