3 for $40 is a good deal.

What are you going to do with them? Gaming?

the AT case will be used for dos the asus for will be used for xp gaming assuming its powerful enough as for the vaio not sure as im not fond of P4 cpu's nor am i a fan of the cramped in case never was a fan of those pc's that had everything crammed into a small case with very little room

edit would consider selling or trading the vaio case as i have no need for it the rest im keeping tho

Could you please submit a photo of the Vaio case with the side panel removed showing the inside layout?
Thank you.

I would try the Socket 7 in DOS with the Cache as is or check if the extra chache can be disabled in the BIOS because some of the DOS games can be very picky about your Memory and Chache Settings. Look up Phils Computer Lab, he has a ton of info about (Super) Socket 7 Stuff, including tons of Benchmarks for Video Cards.

Remember to CHECK THE CAPACITORS !

Bulged or leaking cap = soon death....

Tops should be FLAT, look at the CROSS on top of the Cap, you'll see any malformation.
And as always - DON'T TOUCH EM ! They HURT if they have residual current stored, and trust me, you don't want to EARTH down your arm...

Very nice. Alas, the price starts going way up when you start looking for early Pentium and late 486 stuff, and higher still when you get into the 8086, 286, 386, and 8 bit processors like the 68000 and such.
