Nintendo switch accessories: cardboard and dyi

Nintendo switch accessories: cardboard and dyi

Postby FlarePhoenix » Mon Jan 22, 2018 6:31 am

So yeah, either Nintendo is getting super cheap or....

https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/17/1690 ... lease-date

Just one of the many stories, but this relevant to

.....the just expecting people, most likely kids, to make the toys and Nintendo most likely being sued when injury, malfunction s, or just plain it gets wet or smushed, just seeing this going to fail, or least many 3rd parties making it for you. Oh the suggested price? Yeah that will be a long rant for another day.

Also if kids are making these, is child labor laws enforced?

Dumbest shit I've seen recently. If it were at least wood, but cardboard ? And everything is so big, who would want a bunch of oversized cardboard toys lying around the house ? One wrong step, a spilled glass or a playful pet and there goes your 70$. They should have partnered with LEGO or something.

I bet parents who grew up with Nintendo games will buy this for their kids, but then they will end up fooling around with it, just like 20-40 year olds are the ones who obsessively collect amibos, not kids.

There is no "or" about it..... IT'S CHEAP!
Any way to save a buck in manufacturing.
This victimizes the consumer.
Adults have the manual skills to use this CRAP without damaging it longer than young children.
Just like you would trust your mom to cook a dinner when you were a youngster because you nowhere near had the ability to cook it yourself.
I hope this marketing idea turns around and bites them in the a$$ :!:

If i go fishing with that thing it'll just get soggy

Seriously though, is there no depths to which Nintendo will try to fill peoples cupboards with unused shit. These will just add to that pile of Wii accessories everyone wishes they could bring themselves to chuck in the bin.

Depending on how good the actual gaming part of it is it could be a nice idea. I agree that the price is a bit on the high side and I guess it get´s boring once you played each of the games once or twice, but the idea is decent enough. You get something for the kids to put together in an afternoon and a collection of games. If it where a bit cheaper (around 40-50 in and / or €) for a box I would buy it for the kids, but at the price they are asking for it I wall pass.

I heard you can make a DIY fleshlight by taking a pringles tube in putting a rolled piece of foam in it. Saves a lot of money and even the children and pets can play with it.

make headset for the tablet and give us VR already. It would be the simplest VR console setup that would push sales like crazy. You already have the joycons, no other accessories would be needed!!! Charge $99.99 for the headset and a sampler game cart, they'd be swimming in money. I know the resolution wouldn't be up there with Vive or Oculus but dang man I bet they'd make a killing.

They already said they are going to put out the templates to make this stuff for free. Price in not a fan of but it's centered towards kids. People complain kids are playin GTA now they will be playing games with cardboard accessories, so I guess kids never win to some ppl.

At least the Wii had plastic accessories to throw the motion controllers in. Nintendo will now ship a origami game tutorial with all switch consoles. Nintendo fanboys will just praise it and move on. Silly Rabbit Switch is for Kids!

Glad to see that I am not the only one that feels the Switch is a kids toy. My nephew's wife has one and all she says is: "It's cool." "It's portable."
Wow.

edit*- If there were solid content games I'd own one. Ooh and Aah over the backgrounds in Zelda is not enough. How many freakin' times can they re-hash Zelda and Mario? Goddamn.

edit2*- Super Bomberman R did have me stoked a year ago. Then it got a 6/10 and it still sells for $50 today. Borderline shovelware?

It depends I bet rocks for landscaping have sold alot, but that doesn't account for rocks people pick up for free.

Wii u sold bad, would you consider it better that the ps4/xbo. Or perhaps you are thinking of the vita it also sold poorly.
