Mosquito - Kid zapper !

Mosquito - Kid zapper !

Postby ZX81v2 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 11:45 am

The archive below contains the mosquito.mp3.
This produces a sound young ears can hear and hate... It's quite horrid really, but the older you get , the less you hear it...

Want to get kids to move along.... This works quite well !! - Just loop it
Local shop has a speaker above awning and this gets turned on if they start hanging around...

Be warned, don't listen to this through headphones, it hurts !

mosquito.zip

Seriously, I accept no responsibility for any damage to hearing by using this through headphones. It's not a good idea so don't do it. Anyone caught doing so, is a true idiot and don't deserve the IQ they were born with.
Hearing can be damaged years before you get any "Issues" like Tinnitus

yeah, it's low frequency, young ears can pick up lower frequencies than older ears. This frequency diminishes the older you get.
0-16 is most effective, but some hear it over the age, I can sort of hear it, and I'm 42 nearly

Yup...I can hear the high pitch "squeal" of the old cathode ray tv sets too. It seems like I am the only one that hears it when other people are around. I can also hear the same type of "squeal" coming from certain fluorescent bulbs as well. It can get quite annoying for me sometimes...even start giving me a headache! I am actually in my 50's now and I can STILL hear it!

Indeed it sounds like an old crt squeal. I'm 27 and I can hear it. Wonder if a kid will hear it differently.
