PAL N64 image problem "UPDATE"

PAL N64 image problem "UPDATE"

Postby nightwo1f » Wed Jan 11, 2017 4:52 pm

i recently bought a Pal N64 with 2 controllers, expansion pack and a few games
- mace - loz majoras mask - donkey kong 64 - F-zero - duke nukem 64 - rainbow six - hockey 99

all of that for around 27 dollars. a steal if you ask me

now alto my tv can pick ntsc and pal images. tv is a Samsung LN32D450G1GXPE

i noticed the image output of the pal n64 is a bit more brighter and also blurrier than the image of the ntsc n64. i tried messing with tv's settings. even tried changing it to pure pal output but nothing works for that matter.

with Legend of Zelda majoras mask you can see this with the N64 boot logo when it's fired up. the logo is much brighter then with my ntsc n64 specially on the rightside of it.

I did follow masterofall suggestion from the previous post. i tried a different cable and different brightness levels on my tv. but it's still to bright in game causing me to see things very hard.

"i will try doing a hdmi or rgb mod in the future if the system is compatible" but for now i need a solution to this.

thanx in advance

there is no factory reset option on the n64 if that's what you're referring to. also i already tinkered with my tv it's settings. no luck. maybe i should buy a composite to hdmi adapter and see how that works...
