Okay I'm new to the forum's here, I've just been content to stand on the sidelines and watch for awhile now, but I finnally have a reason to make a post so here I am. Yes, I have already googled it, many times, as the Sticky here suggests, Im not *that* new.
Okay so here's my problem, hopefully some of you awesome people can help. I downloaded the "Spider-Man The Movie" xbox game ISO file from your link here on the isozone (Right here: http://theisozone.com/downloads/xbox/xbox-isos/spider-man-the-movie-usa/
) I tried burning the ISO to a DVD-RW using disk utility on my mac, but after inserting the disk to my softmodded xbox, it didnt even recognize there was a disk inserted in the first place, it just gave me the empty status. From here, I decided to foget the disk and just FTP it onto the harddrive and say screw physical media. Its a pain in the first place, but I thought a disk might work better. I FTP'd the ISO file into my E: drive under the games file only to realize the xbox wouldnt launch an ISO file directly. So I went back to my PC and used Extract-XISO--GUI by Huge to extract the ISO file, and I then continued to FTP the extracted ISO back to my harddrive under the E:Games partition. It *still* wouldnt launch or show up under my games menu from the dashboard.
Upon diving into the files themselves, I found that there is no defaul.xbe to launch the game with in the first place. I thought this might just be a downloading error, so I redownloaded the ISO from the site (again, from this link: http://theisozone.com/downloads/xbox/xbox-isos/spider-man-the-movie-usa/
) Repeated the process of Extacting the ISO and FTPing to the xbox, again, to no avail. There is still no default.xbe to launch the game with.
So I ask all of you much more experienced xbox modders, Do you have any idea what the issue is? Is the file simply bad in the first place? Did I do something wrong? Is there a way to launch the game without the default.xbe file? (because everything else is there, all the files everything, I checked. I just have no way of launching the game after its on the harddrive itself. It wont allow me to do anything with the files to actually play the game once they are there.)
Thanks. I know its a long post, but better to be detailed in the first place than not give enough information and have to answer questions later.
