--- Info adapted from Wikipedia.org ---

"Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D" is an arcade-style action game co-developed by Factor 5 and LucasArts. The first of three games in the Rogue Squadron series, it was published by LucasArts and Nintendo and released for Windows and the Nintendo 64 in December 1998.

Set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy and inspired by the Star Wars: X-wing Rogue Squadron comics, the game takes place primarily between events in the films Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.
The player controls Luke Skywalker, commander of the elite X-wing pilots known as Rogue Squadron. As the game progresses, Skywalker and Rogue Squadron fight the Galactic Empire in sixteen missions across various planets.

Unlike the Star Wars: X-Wing computer game series that emphasizes space combat simulation, Rogue Squadron is a fast-paced, arcade-style action game
Each of the game's sixteen levels introduces mission objectives that must be completed to progress to the next level. These objectives are divided into four categories: search and destroy, reconnaissance, rescue and protect.

Enemy aircraft are primarily composed of TIE fighters. Ground defenses are more varied and include three different walkers, laser and missile turrets, tanks, probe droids, shuttles, stormtroopers and speeder bikes.

-- INSTRUCTIONS --
Unpack/Estract to where you wan t the game to be installed.
Go there and double-clik on "Setup.exe".
To play, use "Rogue Squadron.exe" to start the game directly, or if you want a Launcher where you can change the Graphics and Controls, just run "ROGUE.exe".
Have FUN...

Thanks for uploading possibly the best Star Wars PC game ever. Unfortunately for me I have had issues trying to get this to work properly. Not sure if it's Win 7 x64 or my graphics drivers/card. It went through the menus fine but the game graphics run slow then fast even if I try to launch it with XP parameters. Will try and play with it some more cause this is the closest I've been able to come to having this game work on Win 7 x64. Thanks!

^^ well it must be... they added a 3D on the name in the PC version... lol
Anyway, seriuosly, I think it's the same (atleast Wikipedia doesn't say otherwise)

@ Jodo901 : I have only tested this on WinXP... so I can't help you bro... I hope you figure it out

I played this a couple of years ago and it seemed pretty close to the N64 version. Back in those days they really didn't always beef up the graphics for console ports on the system save for resolution and AA options.

Sorry for double post. @Jpdo, I got this working fine on Windows 7 64 bit by simply running in administrator mode. No XP mode or anything. Full speed, and even uses my Saitek x52 joystick default without needing to configure controls. Just thought I would share.

Awesome! This was the last game I was still missing in my Rouge Squadron collection. Rouge Leader and Rebel Strike are both some of my favorite video games of all time! Thanks for the upload!
