you're probably using unleashx as your dash. ftp DVD2XBOX to your apps folder and setup the network through it and ftp from there. some file names cause a the transfer to fail.

There shouldn't be any problem deleting them direct using UnleashX's or XBMC's file manager. You probably would need to reboot the Xbox first before doing it but they should delete unless there is something else wrong.

Whatever dash you are using do you get any error message when trying to delete these particular files?

Have you transferred a lot of files to the HDD before these errors started showing up?

Sounds like improper cluster size in use for the destination partition/drive.

Are you using binary transfer in filezilla & not auto, same goes for flash.I'd switch to filezilla as it has the failed transfer window list, this allows copying the failed ones 1 by 1 if need be to a different directory

A reboot maybe necessary to remove files from the xbox,if that still doesn't work then run a live cd like AID or Hexen & delete using file manager,if the files still won't get removed you definitely have a cluster formatting issue

I'd obtain a copy of XBPartitioner v1.3, install and run it to make sure that the extended partition(s) do not show "ER" without the quotes between the cluster size (16,32, or 64) and partition size in GB's. If it does, the partition will have to be recreated with the correct cluster size. All data will be lost. Requiring one to start all over again writing data to any such modified partition(s).
