How did the PlayStation fit fully in the box?

Postby UnicornMonkey » Tue Aug 22, 2017 5:42 pm

I have a PlayStation 1. I assume it has everything. I’m wondering how to fit it all in the box. A picture is attached of the cords that I can’t seem to find a place for. I bought it for $20 a while ago and finally decided I should fit everything in the box. Any help is appreciated.

A Picture of the Inside would be much more helpful in guessing how it all fits together. At this point my best suggestion would be "Shove it in there with force until it fits" <- That´s also what she said

I tend to go with the old ram it in there any old how approach. But if i were going for neat then i would go console in poly first, wires down/around the side of that and controllers on top.

Sorry to say but this thread made me smile :D, essentially you already know... nobody has seen how the playstation is newly packed for around 20 years.. and those of us that saw it back then either cant remember, opened it too fast or are too senile to tell you.

Maybe worth checking https://hardware.support.eu.playstation.com/

or giving customer service a call on (+44)203 441 3013

It looks like there should be enough room either between the console and the manual or between console and box on the other side. Or you could check if the Styro has enough room to fit the cables between Styro and Box.

Glad I could make you smile! I have it all to fit but I might try that just to see if it’s the actual way or not.

The problem with that is there are parts cut out and you can’t see in the box.

I figured as he dosn't seem to take the 2 wires out they must be there at the bottom in the gap left by the poly inserts. Also he says its a rare sealed one but i don't know if i believe him.

It´s an official Sony Channel, I bet you that Sony themself have more than enough of these sealed consoles collecting dust in their facilities to do such a Video.

Great video MoA, now that's a sealed unboxing. The Sony one shows no indication of being new and sealed at all imo., no packaging and the box has no security label/tape on it at the begining like this one.
