Yes, a great American pastime, that many people enjoy, finding treasures others have thrown out or just lost. I found a working portable vhs player, I used for years. Lots of porn also found, enough said. Slightly used stuff, or slightly tarnished. Heck, I had a roommate that lived out of grocery store drop boxes, he would scrape off the mold on the cheese, and have a feast! You have to be aware of the best times for looking,

Well today, in my favorite drop box, at the corner of NW 24th in downtown, I thought I had found a Blue-ray player, oh boy, BUT someone else was in that box and had their mitts on it, Yea I struggled with them, but they won, and they jumped out of the box with it in their hairy hand......HAIRY HAND!? !? !?

I watched in amazement as they ran off.....A HAIRY BODY ALSO.......Oh My God I was in a drop box with a Sasquatch!!!!!!!!!!

That description fits just about 3/4 of the "people" in my neighborhood! I once got an offer "of a different kind" from what was a "female" fitting that description in my neighborhood. Needless to say that I was the one who was doing the running away at the time!! AND....I NEVER LOOKED BACK!!

My parents are like the only middle class people on my block. So every trash day I see what I can find. Rich people throw away some awesome stuff.

I worked at the mall as a teen & we used to always see people dumpster diving for Gamestop stuff. We had to cut clothes up at Hot Topic before throwing it in the dumpster, which I always found beyond shitty. Here they are just throwing this shit away, but they're making sure homeless people can't have a hoodie to keep them warm at night.

I used to work at a Mall way back when just wait until after Christmas Gamestop throws a bunch of stuff away that gets returned and all the other stores throw out all their Christmas lights strings of em and decorations. But yet you should feel bad for throwing away things. Hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.
